For the game between Wigan and Arsenal we had ref Clattenburg in the middle between the two teams. Was he the man in the centre?

Clattenberg is my Favourite Ref, I think when he is good he is very good indeed. His Reffing has an honesty and a consistency that is commendable.

Like us all he has bad days at the office, but it is easy to see that his mistakes are genuine and that he really tries to be balanced and fair. At Wigan he missed more than he usually does, he will be pleased that did not affect the outcome.

He played some very good advantages, and a big call correctly led to Theos run and RVP scoring. Not his best day, but he will be pleased with the outcome. Although the decision to book Song was a stinker!!

Also take a look at the wrong calls that almost even out between both teams! One of the rare occasions this has happened with Arsenal this season.

  1. Clattenburg was interesting tonight
Clych off and we are still the only invincibles 🙂
Lets hope for a good result the weekend against city.

  2. It will be an interesting review I think, lots of talking points as far as I have seen

  3. It look walter that City should have had a penalty early on.
Lots of yellow cards for you to review 🙂

  4. @reviewer

At 56 minutes, you have a yellow for Song that isn’t correct. Why is the weight 0?

Not having written lately, Happy Birthday Walter.

  5. The first 0 is just for the decision on itself and has a possible score of 0 or 1. Wrong decision / correct decision

The score of the weight is where we give a certain weight to a decision. For a yellow card the weight is on a possible score of 2. So a correct given yellow card gives the ref 2 (on 2) a wrong given card gives the ref a score of 0 (on 2).

The “on” column has been left out of the review because we had some difficulties already to get the whole thing on the page.

    the weight scores are
    yellow card on 2 points
    red card on 3 points
    goal on 3 points
    penalty on 3 points

    And thanks Gord 😉

Never had a better perfect birthday, better said a perfect birthday weekend and even the monday has ended in perfection 😉

  6. Interesting review, it is a shame that yellow cards cannot be appealed as Song has now unfairly accumulated four.

Regarding tonight’s match, I noted Yaya Toure kicking at Mata when the latter was on the ground and just afterwards having a swipe at him. The ref. did not appear to see these incidents, what are the chances of the FA taking action?
