Arsenal v Burnley. Confusion reigns, cowards shaming the shirt, suspensions. It’s pretty dark out there.

  1. If we are to be honest and be objective in our observations about the general standard of playimg for Arsenal FC by some Gunners this season, then the standard of playing for Arsenal by: Bellerin, Koscielny, and to some extend Monreal leaves much to be desired. So also is the close to abject standard of playing for Arsenal this season are the mediocre standard of playing for the Gunners by: Oezil, Ramsey, Wilshere, Welbeck, Iwobi who is so poor with Ramsey been very average for Arsenal due to his lack of regular fitness issue. And Lacazette with no real value given by him for the large money spent to sign him last summer.

Arsenal are on 6th in the table this season and with no Title won as a result of the combine mediocre performance by: Bellerin due to his average quality in standard of playing for Arsenal this seaso but for his being pacey as the only top asset he has shown for Arsenal. Should he be reconverted back to a right winger next season by the new Arsenal manager to see if he can improve on his general playing quality standard for the Gunners? Koscielny is aging and Achilles ridden and doesn’t look he can get rid of it soon. He should therefore be sold in the summer. I think Arsenal already have Chambers who can step in to replace him at CB with Holding as the understudy for the position. Monreal is now aging and losing some yards and also lacking effective ball crossing ability to effectively finds his mate in the opponent box. Can Mavropanos be his replacement next summer? Oezil can’t turn up in the big games for Arsenal to influence it to get a win result for the Gunners. This is appalling despite him being placed on a massive £350k/w wages at Arsenal. Does this not look to be a fraud wage earning by him at Arsenal? Wilshere numerous big injuries hit in the past must have forced his once said to be at top quality standard of playing at the top level of the game for Arsenal but now lowered to the average quality standard of playing for Gunners. Thus, reducing him to a fringe like player of a substitute role grade in the PL games for Arsenal. But he’s often being played this season in the PL by Le Boss in his crusade to see him selected to play for England in the World Cup this summer. The same thing that has applied to Wilshere also apply to Welbeck. Iwobi has not shown any top quality in his playing for Arsenal this season to convince he can rise to become a top grade Arsenal player who should be playing regularly for the Gunners at the top level of the game particularly in the PL. He can’t score or assist to score regularly for Arsenal in the PL this season where it matters most. I think the new Arsenal manager can keep him but coach him in his own ways to see if he can improve on his game quality for Arsenal. Maybe a loan out to a PL club this summer where he’ll be playing regularly will get him improved on his game to start scoring goals or give assists on a regular basis for Arsenal when he’s back to the club playing after his loan out. Lacazette disappointment at Atletico Madrid in the Europa semifinal match where he didn’t score for Arsenal despite having goals scoring opportunities to score has shown clearly he can’t be depended upon to do the goals scoring job to win matches for Arsenal in big the games. Therefore, let him learn to improve on his lack of scoring in the big games domestically and in Europe for Arsenal next season. Given that he was injured for sometimes this season and went under the knife, I think he could be excused for his average goals scoring for Arsenal. Hopefully, under the new manager’s coaching next summer he won’t be of average goals scoring again but very top.

By all standards, Holdings, Chambers, Maitland, Mustafi – who has character, Kolasniac – who should be excused for the injury problem he has this season but to heal during the summer break, Bellerin – if he’s converted to a right winger, ElNeny, Xhaka and Lacazette excused for his injury during the campaign have all passed the test that should make them remain at Arsenal next summer IMO. For, Auba’, Mkhi’ and Mavropanos who have recently joined Arsenal in the winter window but are showing the good promise in their performances for Arsenal so far that they can remain at Arsenal next summer to continue playing for the Gunners for a true PL Title challenge upto the end of next season’s campaign.
