According to the Guardian Mikel Arteta wanted to sign a left-back and a central midfielder this summer. One down, one to go.  But the rumours seem to have got a bit stuck, endlessly recycling the same old same old over and over .

So far we have 69 players tipped to be coming to Arsenal and 29 on their way out.   But still we do have August to go as the window doesn’t “slame shut” as those pesky journos love to say, until 30 August at 11pm.

So here we go with the 68 players Arsenal are buying and the 29 who are going to leave….  There will be another report once the market picks up, or the journalists stagger out of the public houses in which they make up these stories.
