Now fake transfer news takes a new thoroughly nasty twist

By Sir Hardly Anyone

Up until now, the nonsense transfer news churned out by the national press and their camp followers has been a bit of a laugh.  A case of us recording all the gibberish, putting it in a chart and then showing the results.  Results such as that we found last season when each and every Arsenal first team player was tipped to be leaving.

And when the headline turned up saying “Arsenal star linked with shock return to Spain as Real Madrid prepare summer transfer” (Read Arsenal) we all took it to be the usual rubbish.   Another case of Bellering in fact (from the verb meaning to make up transfer rumours and repeat them endlessly even though they are palpably untrue).

Likewise the ceaseless sniping by the Express and Star newspaper group with headlines like

  • Hector Bellerin has gone backwards since breaking into the Gunners first team two years ago.
  • Hector Bellerin: Arsenal star told Arsene Wenger he wanted to leave this summer
  • Bellerin and Wenger are said to have held talks today over his future.
  • The Sun are claiming the 22-year-old has told the Arsenal manager he wants to leave

But things have now turned really nasty with a audio recording on a video of a person who is supposed to be Hector Bellerin in a car.

What makes matters even worse is that the gibbering little bloggettas have leaped into the morass with statements such as “The video seems to have been created to stir up even more trouble for Gunners full-back.”  101 Great Goals who wrote that admit that the audio is a fake, but still insist it has caused problems.  Worse, that sentence is typical bloggetta mud swirling, as it starts from the premise that Bellerin is in trouble in the first place.

Now it is said that “In the audio, the fake Bellerin claims he’s planning to talk to Arsene Wenger at the end of the season to demand a move to Barcelona,” and the fake voice claims that Mr Wenger promised to Mr Bellerin that things would improve at Arsenal.  The imitation Bellerin replies that they haven’t and wants Mr Wenger to come good on his promise and let him go.

Not content to see how this pans out, the media have immediately jumped on the bandwagon with another story – this version comes from Rob Bleaney, a Daily Mirror man now carrying on the Mirror’s tradition of football make believe at the Guardian.  He delivers, “Football transfer rumours: Arsenal’s Héctor Bellerín to Real Madrid?”

This piece suggests Florentino Pérez at Real Madrid is trying to recruit Héctor Bellerín and has ‘personally negotiated’ with the player “according to reports in Spain”.

There is also the regular Guardianesque put down of Bellerín suggesting his “form seems to have waned as his hair has grown”, with the make believe that he, “was always assumed to be heading back to Catalonia when he had had enough of Arsenal Fan TV – but Pérez has other ideas and is willing to pay €40m to hit Barça where it hurts.”

Now any decent reporting would note exactly what Arsenal Fan TV is up to, and why it is there, rather than add more manure to hit any whirling fans.  It ends, “This transfer battle could get dirty,” which is nonsense.  It is dirty and all the dirt is supplied by the journalists and their co-writers at the little blogs.

Last season, as noted above, it got to be the whole squad.  We’re waiting to see if the media can achieve such nonsense again.  And at least when you see the chart you can see just how untrue most of these stories are.

No Player Going To Source What’s the story

  1. If it is an impression its perfect. Who leaked it an why? I think Mert, Öz and Alexis would have disagreed about no leaders, maybe Kos too and Musta too?
If it is real, how old is it and so what? The irony was with the AFtv altercation, both AFtv and later Hectors dialectics were poor. If AFtv is all about fans opinions, what happend to that bloke Chris? He wasnt really allowed to have an opinion because he supported Wenger and look at Ty and the ridicule he gets. Its still sad that the notion that the word ‘real’ has any value and gets bandied about. As original as anyone thinks they are there was someone/thing before?

  2. I have no problem with people enjoying themselves on footie blogs indulging in inane, inarticulate insufferably boring comments.

As the blogger who kept banging his head against the wall, after listening to all the fake transfer rumours said to his Gooner mate, “It’s just so great when I stop!!” — his mate replied, “oh, that’s nothing — a Spuds fan I know said, “Some of the transfer rubbish stinks like a cartload of manure compost that is going to be spread on strawberries” — “I told him – at Arsenal we prefer to put cream on them”.

  3. I received this via Whatsapp in the form of a newspaper clipping , and having found it funny am reprinting it verbatim , with suitable apologies to the author and the newspaper in question.

    Freemasons and the legal profession

    Sir,
The official request long ago to judges such as myself to say whether I was a Freemason (letter,Feb 15) was presumably based upon the belief that if so a judge might seem to favour a litigant who was also a Freemason.

I replied saying that I was not but that I was a member of the Automobile Association and how should I deal in future with motor accident cases if it appeared that one of the parties belonged to that organisation.

I did not receive a reply.

  4. Brickfields, was some brilliantly stuff.

Freemasons originally worked without being subject to any religious ideology an drew are responsible for many of the most acclaimed religious tabinacles across the globe. As with the knights templar, the Freemasons found themselves at opposition with many religious ideologies and rejected subservience to them. This came to a head during the early Christian crusades. When the church ordered the systematic eradication of the Templar, Masons and Illuminati (she’d light upon).

Since this period the bames have all been subverted to demonise the terms and what they represent.

This was achieved in much the same way as the Nazi’s who subverted the swastika, literally turning a symbol for peace on its head.

The swastika (as a character 卐 or 卍) is an ancient religious icon used in the Indian subcontinent, East Asia and Southeast Asia, where it has been and remains a sacred symbol of spiritual principles in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.[1][2][3][4] In the Western world, it was historically a symbol of auspiciousness and good luck,[5] but in the 1930s, it became the main feature of Nazi symbolism as an emblem of Aryan race identity, and as a result, it has become stigmatized in the West by association with ideas of racism, hatred, and mass murder.[5][

  5. @ Dwain Kaye – 21/02/2018 at 7:37 pm – Thanks for this .
As a ardent Freemason myself for nearly 20 years , I have met with a lot of suspicion and skepticism as our intentions, especially among those whom prescribe to ‘Organised ‘religion .

While I have met many fine Brethren the world over , who are similarly inclined, I, myself have yet to find a valuable ‘rough diamond’ to recommend for membership .

I would how ever vouch that it is indeed a very noble fraternity, and ask anyone to consider being a member, if approached.

Just don’t read all that fake crap on the internet .Especially by those who were never members and those religious bigots who fear that their docile sheep will flee and start thinking for themselves !
