12 transfer updates, four new names. The 108 players rumoured to be coming to Arsenal.

According to reports – that old standby – it looks like we have just signed another player –Joel Lopez a man of many ages.

As we come to update the list of players linked with Arsenal we find that now we have reached 107 stories during this transfer window.

In today’s list we have 12 players whose situation has been updated and just four new entries.  Indeed one of the four is a bit of a cheat since it is discussing a player who is already signed – and in fact has been for a long old time.

Interestingly, one name that has been a staple on each of our previous trackings of transfer rumours is Gonzalo Higuain.  He’s not shown up at all on our review of transfer stories, but it seems that Gonzalo Higuain is being touted as a Chelsea man.   After all those years of us having him spotted at every airport in Europe.  Has the man no heart?

But we do have one success today – Joel Lopez was tipped and it appears he has arrived.

And we should remember that on 12 July Mr Emery said he had done his main transfer work unless a particular opportunity arose.

And still no one is talking about how we need to resolve the fact that we have far more players than we are allowed to register.  (Arsenal needs to sell or loan out seven, just to be able to bring in one more player!)
