By Sir Hardly Anyone
There is no football, the clubs are arguing about how it can be brought back, many players are worried about the arrangement, TV stations are putting the pressure on, the ghost game concept has been questioned in terms of crowds gathering… Meanwhile away from football crowds have been gathering for picnics and seaside trips. And Uefa and Fifa scandals of enormous proportions are rumbling across Europe, and what is the response of the journalists and bloggers?
Transfer news!
We have now got another seven players being linked with Arsenal plus a second group the details of whose transfers have been updated just of late.
I really didn’t think we were going to get any fantasy stories at all, but they continue to roll in. The only blessing is that since Untold gave a formal definition of “reportedly” the use of that word has declined significantly. Nice to know we have an impact in the illegal drinking dens of England, even if nowhere else.
Here we go with some of the latest tittle tattle…
1: NEW THIS WEEK- Glen Kamara
The blurb says that this is a player who can ‘play at any level’. Well, he was certainly well trained since he used to play for us before going to Scotland. Now he plays for Rangers, he is Finnish and a midfielder. According to France Football, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Brighton and Marseille are interested in signing Glen Kamara from Rangers in the summer transfer window.
On the other hand it seems Marseille have run out of cash even though he is fairly inexpensive at around £8m

2: UPDATE – George Lewis
Depending on which publication you read Arsenal are “set to” complete the signing of winger George Lewis or we already have (but have seemingly failed to announce the matter).
Source: Metro (done) Caught offside (not yet). Sports Mole takes a midpoint saying we are almost there.
3: NEW THIS WEEK – Kökcü
Edu, it is said, is pushing for this transfer. Red London says Arsenal have made contact and he’ll cost £23m. He plays for Sabah in Azerbaijan (which suggests that Sabah in one transfer will become the richest club in the republic) having previously been in Turkey with Giresunspor.
He plays in midfield and is 19 years old
4: UPDATE – Thomas Partey
5: UPDATE – Layvin Kurzawa
6: NEW THIS WEEK – Mauro Icardi
“Arsenal offered PSG striker Mauro Icardi transfer in swap deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, reports claim,” says The Sun. He is a 27 years old striker. So now we see the words replacing “reportedly” – they have moved over to “reports claim”. Whose reports? We are not told but FoLo, Tuttosport and Media Referee all run the piece.
7: NEW THIS WEEK – Dennis Gyfami
“Arsenal ‘close in’ on Leicester City’s Dennis Gyfami” says
Ghanan right back aged 18.8: NEW THIS WEEK – Mykola Matviyenko
The Daily Cannon says this will be a cut-price deal. He is a 24-year-old left-back. who plays for Saky in Ukraine. So what is it with all these left-backs? Do we really need lots more left-backs?
9: Update – Odsonne Edouard
The Gunners have scouted the Celtic strike extensively this season and will no doubt have been impressed by what they have seen says Football London who think we might have got him.
10 NEW THIS WEEK – Said Benrahma
He plays for Brentford, has got Crystal Palace fans talking over a photo of him for some reason, and now there are Arsenal links” That according to
11: Update – Ryan Fraser
He was constantly tipped to be coming to Arsenal last time around, but now he sure is leaving Bournemouth and either going to Arsenal or Tottenham – at least according to Football Insider, which avoids “reportedly” but says instead that they “understand”.
“The 26-year-old’s contract with the Cherries is set to expire at the end of the season, allowing him to join a new team for nothing in the summer.”
12: NEW THIS WEEK – Gerson
Arsenal are one of the clubs chasing Flamengo midfielder Gerson, with Raul Sanllehi driving the move, according to the player’s father according to the Daily Cannon. They blame EPSN. “Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring the midfielder” who is 22.
