Are Arsenal falling apart or really were they never any good?

Please do make a note: if you can’t get through to www.untold-arsenal.com because of our ongoing technical problems, do then try www.blog.woolwicharsena;.co.uk.  Please do make a note of that address if you don’t already have it on your computer.

Meanwhile…

As we know, with Arsenal the last two seasons looked rather good

Pos Team P W D L F A GD Pts
3 This season 8 5 2 1 15 8 7 17
2 Last season 8 6 2 0 16 6 10 20
2 Two years ago 8 7 0 1 20 8 12 21

And for the moment I am going to try and complete an article on 20 October here, updating the page as I go.

And in reality what do we say about the Bournemouth game, except that all runs come to an end, and ultimately the chopping and changing of the side to cope with more injuries a week than we seemed to get through the whole of last season.

Personally I still have absolute faith in Arteta and the squad he has built, and suspect that this result will make the squad stronger, especially as the injured players come back and the injury level returns to something like normal.

I also suspect the team will be suitably admonished by the failings against Bournemouth to turn everything around on Tuesday and give us a stonking good win.   Neither the players nor Arteta lose their ability over night, although I suspect some will be doing the rounds saying, I told you so.  I also think there will be a fulsome enquiry as to the validity of the two separate approaches the club has been adopting to home and away games, which we have talked about previously.

But in the meanwhile as I try and prepare a more fulsome article for today, please do make a note of www.blog.woolwicharsenal.co.uk as the place to look if this site goes blank, and if you lose your note just search the internet for Arsenal History Society – that should find us.  Here it is again in case you missed it…

You may have noticed the inconsistency of Untold Arsenal appearing of late.

Really sorry – we have a technical fault which at the moment seems to be beyond our ability to fix   So in the interim – where we are not able to publish on this site we will publish instead on www.blog.woolwicharsenal.co.uk  – the Arsenal History Society site.
