Arsenal buying 57 players, and 16 are leaving. At least that’s what the media say. The Transfer Index Vol 11

By Tony Attwood

Welcome once more to the mighty Arsenal Transfer Index – the 11th edition of the 2017 version.

The number of players Arsenal are buying is how up to a giddy 57  – and we still are 16 days away from the window creaking open.   As for the leavers 16 players out of the 25 are on their way out, and Alexis is amazingly going to five different clubs simultaneously.  Quite a clever trick and one that is destined to deliver unto his pocket quite a bit of ready cash I should not wonder.

Seven players are new to the list and we have a number of updates as well.

  1. The greatest living Arsenal supporter hasn’t wasted much time. What an opportunist!

  2. Not aaa, but probably fake or maybe plastic. Anyway he couldn’t even wait for the ashes to settle.

  3. I know odd things happen every day, but I can’t see why we’d re-employ a player that went ‘On Strike’ to get his move away to Barca.
Re-signing him would give the message to every other AFC squad member that they can cause cr4p to get a move away and they can come back if it all goes wrong…
So IMO Cesc returning ever would be a major surprise…

  4. The Asensio one is just hilarious. He’s just won the Champions League and scored in the final and is about to sign a whopping new contract. To say he’s ‘unhappy’ is just a flat out lie. Somebody literally made that up to fill column space. Journalists. Jeez.

  5. Para

    No he could not.

The athelete has been a irregular starter at club level for the last period and never at the national level. He’s not been the same athlete since his infamous “Bruised Bone” injury (not even called as a foul btw) was combined with rushing back from that injury for a WC (no reasonable soul would except any athlete to act differently), where he eventually only got on as a sub as Cazorla was out injured (i think).
