The 64 players who have been tipped to be coming to Arsenal in this summer’s window

By Sir Hardly Anyone

The news that is being splashed around is that Arteta will get the Arsenal manager job and will invite Santi Cazorla to be his assistant.

Meanwhile the ever knowledgeable Arsenal Youth website gives us a list of the youngsters likely to be let go.  These includes

  • Aaron Eyoma
  • Chiori Johnson,
  • Jay Beckford
  • Josh Benson
  • Ryan Huddart
  • Tafari Moore,
  • Julio Pleguezuelo,
  • Marc Bola

A separate list of “possibilities to depart” include  Alex Crean, Yassin Fortune and Gedion Zelalem

Here’s the updated list of all the players tipped to join us this summer.  Remember for the past two summers the accuracy level of the list has been 3 out of around 110.   We have 64 so far before the window opens, but of course matters have been closed down because of the change of manager.

If you have spotted any more please do write in and say, giving the source, and where the player is said to be coming from.  We have three new players on this list this time, all cunningly marked NEW in the number column on the left.

  1. For me talking about the options available as the new manager and Ways you feel he’ll change the squads style of play as well as personnel is better than giving a list of players linked at this point in time. Let’s face it, every top European team has lots and lots of players linked with them each transfer window, not just Arsenal. Just feel talking about the Elephant in the room regarding Arsenal is better though.
    Just an opinion

  2. Mikel Arteta who with no managerial experience as a substantive first team squad manager, but save for the 2 seasons spell he has had as the 2nd assistant manager to the Man City’s subtantive manager, Pep Guardiola for just 2 seasons running is making me to wonder what coaching credentials and experience has Mikel Arteta that has the Arsenal board considering to appoint him as the new Gunners boss. And not only that, Santi Cazorla who I believe has no any forehand assistant manager experience nor has he any coaching badges. But is now being mooted as the likely person that will be appointed as Mikel Arteta direct assistant if he gets the Arsenal’s manager job. Such an appointment that will see Cazorla appointed as the Arsenal assistant manager thought indeeed.

Nevertheless, since appointing a first team squad manager at a top club side like for the giants club side the Arsenal FC by the AFC board is a serious business appointment gamble. Just like the signing of a player is which after signing him, the signing of him could payof handsomely or minimally or will not all. Therefore, I cannot place my hand on my chest to beat it with total confidence and say, if Arteta becomes the next Gunners manager with Carzola as his assistant, their appointments will be a failure at Arsenal. For, being a former first team captain under whose captaincy the team didn’t win the PL nor the CL Title, and with no any previous first team squad substantive managerial experience after he has retired from playing does not imply Arteta cannot manage the Gunners successfully with Cazorla as his deputy if they are appointed to the roles. This is so because first team managerial success at the top level of the game could be Arteta’s and Cazorla’s talented strong points which we don’t know nor can we tell than when they were playing as successful players at Arsenal but which saw the duo with limited Title win success at the club.

In my humble say, the incoming and outgoing summer players transfer at Arsenal should earnestly begins now in my opinion even before the appointment of the new Arsenal manager is announced and before the football World Cup kickoff. So that Arsenal would have concluded most of their key signings if not all of them and avoid being hampered in signing the player or players they want due to hyper inflation sign on fee payable in the transfer market that is likely to happen after the World Cup. And besides, under Monsieur Wenger, Arsenal does sign early in the summer before even the summer window is open. Or don’t they? I think the signings of Xhaka and Kolasinac were concluded early at different summer before the windows are opened during the time they were signed. So, if AFC will make this early signing before the window is open a tradition of theirs, I will not be surprised if Arsenal announce the signingn of one top quality player before the summer widow opens. Though I think the window will open early this summer maybe next tomorrow because of the staging of the World Cup this summer. But notwithstanding, Arsenal should try to conclude early their incoming business signings this summer.

  3. What a terrible squad: they will be lucky to make it out of the group. No Lallana or Wilshere, or Shelvey oh so no creativity then.
How do you take Ruben over Wilfred, the cheek. If have preferred Redmond even.

Danny got in, so perfect for The Arsenal.

    Jones over Stalling?

It’s like he let the sun run a poll based on tabloid propaganda. He’s a decent qualification boss, but they should have given Harry Houdini the job when they could. Wiley old fox for all his faults.

Goalkeepers: Jordan Pickford, Jack Butland, Nick Pope

Defenders: Kyle Walker, John Stones, Harry Maguire, Danny Rose, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ashley Young, Gary Cahill, Phil Jones, Kieran Trippier

Midfielders: Jordan Henderson, Eric Dier, Dele Alli, Jesse Lingard, Raheem Sterling, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Fabian Delph

Forwards: Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, Marcus Rashford, Danny Welbeck

Standby: Tom Heaton, James Tarkowski, Lewis Cook, Jake Livermore and Adam Lallana

  4. I know Chiori has had a number of trials with other clubs since January. I hope he makes a go of things somewhere – ultimately not Arsenal first team quality. A rarity in the Arsenal Academy – a full back who likes defending.

Off topic, half time in our Women’s penultimate match and they have a 2-0 lead away at Sunderland. Goals by Kim Little and Beth Mead (who joined us from Sunderland at the start of the season).

Unfortunately Man City are also beating Yeovil Town, although they only scored in the 44th minute. As Yeovil haven’t yet scored a goal this season it looks like City will go to the last games on Sunday still ahead of us by one point.

  5. Well 3-0 someone is going to be having nightmares about that early miss.

They are good at what they do, but the gamesmanship is disgusting.

Isn’t Antoine clinical, Barcelona are after a real gem. They are coming again. Will they have the manager to match?

France; did they just lose another player, tears look like it.

All this anti football is depressing.

Another day of good fortune and blessings and I will be a very happy guy.

I’ll be at almost nothing can stop me level.

    Insha Allah as they say.

Next up the FA Cup final.

Man imagine you go for the quad, better have that much maligned strength in depth.
