Untold Arsenal will probably be down for some time on Monday. There are details on our home page at www.untold-arsenal.com We’ll keep up the chit chat on our Facebook page.

And so the news keeps on rolling in. The latest is that England youth international Stephy Mavididi has now departed these shores for Italy where he will join Juventus B,
He’s 20, and having not made it onto the pitch with the first team, it was obviously clear that he wasn’t going to make it and so and moved on. He played on loan for Charlton Athletic and Preston North End.
Meanwhile the Guardian has come out with a team to play Chelsea and it has no Ramsey in it, neither in the starting team nor on the beach. And this despite the manager saying last week, “Ramsey is always in the team for me, always.” And obviously there is not some bit of news I have missed about Ramsey leaving the club or being abducted by aliens because the Express (whose writers are regularly abducted by aliens) have him in the starting XI.
We saw with the last match that the “injury” situation can be a bit odd at the moment with players being classified as injured if they are simply not match ready. So bearing that in mind here is the top of the table
# | Club | Men down | Last one to fall | What he done |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Tottenham Hotspur | 10 | L Moura | Muscle Fatigue |
2 | Manchester United | 8 | P Jones | Fitness |
3 | Watford | 6 | B Wilmot | Knee Injury |
4 | Everton | 6 | R de Andrade | Calf Injury |
5 | West Ham United | 6 | L Perez | Fitness |
6 | Crystal Palace | 5 | J Ayew | Fitness |
7 | Chelsea | 5 | M Kovacic | Fitness |
8 | Manchester City | 5 | K De Bruyne | LCL Knee Ligament |
9 | Huddersfield Town | 5 | J Hogg | Hip Injury |
10 | Liverpool | 5 | R Klavan | Hamstring Injury |
11 | Arsenal | 5 | C Jenkinson | Ankle Injury |
Arsenal’s five men out are
The man | What he done | When’s he back? | Today? |
C Jenkinson | Ankle Injury | October 7, 2018 | No |
A Maitland-Niles | Broken Leg | October 7, 2018 | No |
S Kolasinac | Knee Injury | October 22, 2018 | No |
N Monreal | Knee Injury | August 18, 2018 | Maybe |
L Koscielny | Achilles Injury | December 1, 2018 | No |
Nothing new there – as we heard in the week Maitland Niles’ injury was worse than it looked at first and he’s out for a while now. Jenkinson has crocked himself again but I can’t think that he was going to be in the team anyway.
Our record in the last ten against Chelsea is better than one might expect with all the criticisms of Arsenal that we have heard in recent years…

We have four wins, Chelsea have three and three are draws. Better we have drawn or won all of the last six. So maybe there is a bit of a chance.

For Arsenal to beat Chelsea at the Bridge tomorrow in the PL, Unai Emery, the Arsenal manager will have to start the effective game winning Gunners starting XI for the match backed by a every strong 7 Gunners bench who can equally be effective in game winning match whenever any of the 7 is brought on as substitute to either make a difference in game for Arsenal bothering on winning the match or maintain the winning momentum that Arsenal are in the match if they are leading in the game.
In this wise, i don’t think Unai Emery should drop Guendouzi from starting the Chelsea match if he can play to the level of playing he played in our last Man City match at the Ems in the PL or even can battered that level of his playing in the match which I believe he could be capable of doing for the reason that he’s still very hungry and passionate to impress for Arsenal to win.
My starting XI and my 7 on the bench Gunners for our Chelsea big game are below.
Starts:
—————-Cech——————-
Bellerin Mustafi Papas’ Lichtsteiner
———Guendouzi Torreira———
–Mkhitaryan Ozil Aubameyang–
—————Lacazette————–
Bench:
Leno Holding Monreal Elneny Xhaka Iwobi Welbeck.
We saw Ramsey getting substituted in our Man City game with his knees looking to have been strained. I think he should be excused this Chelsea match to allow him return to match fitness.
