The 102 players the media say are joining Arsenal this summer

As the number of players said to be heading Arsenal’s way now passes the 100 mark the Telegraph suggests that “phone calls stop immediately when interested clubs learn that a potential new signing is not vaccinated.”

It’s the first time we’ve seen that published in one of the more serious newspapers, and it could be having quite an effect on the market.  The story is, players don’t want to come to a club where they could be playing alongside someone not vaccinated – and so clubs are reluctant to sign anyone who has not had a complete set of jabs.

Also of course clubs don’t want an outbreak of the virus in their squad, given the variable way in which the authorities allow or don’t allow matches to be postponed.

Here is the latest list of players linked with Arsenal.  We have five new names added this time plus 15 stories that have been updated.  There are 49 days to go before the window “slams shut” and presumably the glass breaks.
