But 62 more players have been tipped to come to Arsenal before the end of January, and the question must be, “With all these transfers will we have room for the return of Balogun?” After all in the top division in France he has scored 10 goals in 18 games, which is not bad going.

The foul stats of the Carabao game SOU-NEW are through the roof if I believe what I read on line.
Southampton, 10 fouls, 6 yellows – one being the second so a red
Newcastle, 7 fouls, 3 yellows
That’s a novel way to weigh in on the result. a yellow every 2 fouls – or rather 1.6 fouls, the defending team does not stand a chance…at some point the red comes. Newcastle got one yellow for each 2.33.
Does someone want Newcastle to win a trophy this year ?

Talking of fouls and cards did you see the foul that Son got away with last night? A red all day long, for us at least.
Bad enough ref didn’t give. Worse VAR didn’t give it. Typically no media outrage.

If you remember, when we played Newcastle a few weeks ago we committed ten fouls for 5 yellows!!! Strange how these things happen!
Those Southampton central defenders Lyanco and Caleta-Car are probably the dirtiest pair I’ve seen in the PL this season. It’s still a mystery to me how Robert Jones failed to send them both off in our 1-1 draw there this season. Apparently bear-hugs and punching are no longer classified as fouls by PGMOL.
