Untold Arsenal…….Arsenal History …… Making the Arsenal …… Arsenal Uncovered
Untold not only publishes reviews of Arsenal games from the ref’s point of view, but also, by way of comparison, reviews of other games too. The aim is to see if any bias we spot is just something that crops up in Arsenal matches, or whether it is commonplace.

Next in our survey is Manchester City – Wigan. The final score was 3-0 for City. Ref in charge was Atkinson.

Not too many fouls in the match. Both sides could have had a player booked though Martin Atkinson seemed to let a bit slide in this match and didn’t book anyone. Missed calls favoured somewhat the home team, Manchester City, although the biggest non-call went against City. Al Habsi had taken two full steps off his line when he saved a penalty from Carlos Tevez, and this should have been retaken. In any case, Manchester City and Kun Aguero were too sharp for Wigan and rode out with a comfortable 3 – 0 win.
It looked to be the day of the clean games today. Maybe the players were too tired from the international games but not much fire in to the games we reviewed this weekend with little calls to make by the refs.
But still other reviews to come so maybe we will get some more controversy in the next days.

Do we for the first time have a better ref performance in the second half than in the first half?
Overall looks like it was an easy match to ref (and review). Perhaps a few too many calls against Wigan, but for the result it would have made no difference.
Keep the reviews coming. Great work!
Kentetsu I have to check it but this was exactly my thought also after receiving the ref review. But with me going to Dortmund didn’t have the time to check
Walter.
Do you work over 80% right being a excellent performance or more like 90% and say 75-80% being a good performance and 70-75% being average and below 70% being poor?
