As this fixture did not have any implications for MU, this appeared to be a reasonably fair performance. Even so, the longer the game went on, the more it seemed that he was reverting to an anti-Arsenal mindset, over fouls not given when committed by WBA.
The incorrect against figures are interesting. Basically, another ref who signalled early on that they would be able to persistantly foul Arsenal and pretty much get away with it. But when our players start it, they are punished. Time and time again.
@Mandy Dodd
I agree with you here. The biggest area of bias is not in the big decisions, its in the area you mention that is rarely highlighted but can massively effect a game. I have noticed a consistent trend of teams being able to go through the back of Arsenal players – especially forwards – and get away with it. Yet, any contact from our players seems to bring a free kick.
These subtle areas of bias are our biggest problem.
All well and good the subtle fouling going against us the fact of the matter is that there was one big decision in the game the Ref got wrong and that is theat WBA should have had a first half penalty. Ref got all other big decisions correct. I think the weighting is way off, the NC in the 35th to 37th minute gets 12 points against us, the NC for the penalty at 33 minutes is only 8 for us but the penalty incident is multiple times more important. They score a goal is infinitely more important than a few fouls an a yellow card, Walter I think you have to look at your weightings, we were not biased against for the really important decisions!!!!!
jayramfootball
Only this season. In previous seasons, there have been very many more big calls go against us (along with these smaller calls as well of course) This season, for whatever reason, the refs aren’t calling too many big calls against us. Not blatantly so anyway.
Shard,
could it be… big brother is not watching them but someone else is watching them and they know it…?
Not as big as big brother of course but well…
Walter
It most certainly could.. One of my ManU supporting friends (who naturally is blinded by all the silverware his club ‘wins’) decided to see Arsenal games this season to see if we get screwed on those big calls. And he recently said I must be imagining it since no wrongly given penalties etc went against Arsenal.. And that’s that. He can believe that all is right with the world again, and I’m just some fan looking for excuses for his team not winning.
That’s score one for the PGMOL..But in a way, it’s also a bigger score for Untold.. But I think that’ll change once we’re closer to challenging ManU.
