1. Very good analysis Tony, far more in depth than what is available in the popular press.
   It really is pathetic that the mainstream media seem incapable of putting in the same sort of effort and research as you when they produce an article, especially when you take account of the resources they have available to them.

   The problem is mick, it’s not that they haven’t got the capability to put in the effort and research, it’s that they haven’t got the desire.

   They knew as well as Tony, you, I, and anyone else with more than a peanut for a brain how well Arsenal had performed for the last 2/3 rds of last season.

   Similarly they could see that not only did we have a tough 3 opening games, we had to play them with a depleted squad and a newly assembled back 4.

   But on the back of 3 defeats we were suddenly relegation fodder.

   No analysis. No perspective.

   They have since been proved to be utter idiots but do they change ? Only the other day some numpty in the Telegraph I think it was opined how Arteta is “only ever a couple of poor performances away from losing credibility”.

   Is he ? And with whom ? And why ?

   Effort !! Research !!

   Humbug I tell you, humbug !!!

3. Nitram, Also Man City were assisted by Atkinson’s predictable red card to Xhaka.

   As for predictions, I prefer to avoid them. I believe that Arsenal are better than most teams, but experience shows that that doesn’t necessarily translate into results.

   I was always superstitious and anxious when Samuel used to routinely predict 5-0 victories

4. Just watching the Chelsea Brighton match.

   How did Lukakus goal stand ?

   Everyone agrees Maupay was fouled but apparently because he then grappled with Lakaku after he was fouled and then went down too, late the goal stood.

   So what are they saying? We ignore the initial foul because one followed ? Sounds like a new rule to me. What are we saying ? A player has to go down for it to be a foul does he? Whether he went down immediately, late or not at all doesn’t mean it wasn’t a foul. Or are we making up more new rules ?

   How is Lukaku still on the pitch ?

   Lukaku lunges from 2 yards with both feet off the ground studs showing and takes everything. If he had connected with the Brighton players shins he would of broken his leg without question.

   You should get a red card for SERIOUS FOUL PLAY: A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality must be sanctioned as serious foul play.

   16 stone flying through the air studs first is certainly excessive force and most definitely endangering an opponent. RED CARD all day long.

   They didn’t even show the incident at half time, but that could of been because they spent the entire time defending Lukakus dodgy goal.

   I dread to think what they’d of made of that challenge if it was Xhaka.

   Honestly the double standards we see in refereeing and analysis, depending on who’s involved, is shocking.

9. That calendar year shows something no one talks about. Say what you want, but the Hammers have gotten better. They are just 1 point off Arsenal.
   Not that I have any love lost for that taxpayer club, but I’d say Moyes does deserve some credit, does he not ?

   As for Lukaku, just replace Chelsea by Arsenal and Lukaku by Xhaka….and ask yourself if that would stand…
   The PGMOL/referee incompetence, incapability to NOT let personal preferences interfere and NOT applying the rule of law is just so blatant.
   I don’t believe they have some sort of conspirational agenda. They are just an incompetent, under trained, never questionned/audited, totally out of their depth bunch of wannabees, lacking proper management and leadership and seeking the limelight they will never get. Their management, like so many sports and official instances in England are not any better, smelling so much like Old Boys Network, reeking of complacency and self gloryfication. And any new referee they hire is bathed in the general mis-management of PGMOL and even if he were any good, he cannot do the job right, grow into it, get better.

   And, if you ask me, they are starting to feel the heat. Questions are appearing at other places then Untold. As long as it was French Mr Wenger from hated Arsenal, they could just ban him. But Mr Klopp of the Holy Pool! or Mr Guardiola from Oil Citeh (and the club of the powerful is growing)… that is just another story.

   A binary world of pro-fergie and anti Arsene/Arsenal and/or anyone against MU was easy to manage : fergie time, dole out cards, ignore offsides or invent some, etc. A multi-polar world where that scot relic is not present anymore goes way beyond their black/white binary discerning capabilities. As Untold once proved : heads/tail decisions in games would have been more favorable then the PGMOL referees.

   As Lincoln once said : you can fool some people most of the time, most people some of the time, but you cannot fool all people all of the time.
