25 players leaving Arsenal and 70 incoming transfers, according to the media

The biggest name being shunted around remains Raheem Sterling whose contract is entering its final year.   The media suggest Manchester City don’t let players run down their contracts, but I am not sure that is quite accurate.

Feeding this notion is the fact that Arteta worked with Sterling during his three years at Manchester C.   Arsenal are also about to sign Youri Tielmans, according to Caught Offside.  But before you get too excited you might like to read…

Anyway here we have 70 transfers coming in and 25 players leaving.  And given that the window isn’t even open yet, there is probably as many more newcomers still to be listed by the end of the window.
