In a season for injuries at the Emirates Mark Randall managed to pick up his injuries while on loan at Burnley. When on the pitch he’s done well, but the little injuries and a virus have kept him out of the game.
But Wenger’s belief in him remains in tact -the midfielder replaced Denilson in a Carling Cup game and showed his vision. He did the bench sitting bit at the end of the 2007/8 season, and played in the pre-season game at Barnet this season.
And, like so many of the new bunch of kids at Arsenal, he’s English.
