Now here are three interesting issues that have come up.
First, the media know most of the transfers they mention won’t happen. After all, this is how it has been each summer, when generally over 100 players are mentioned, but actual transfers are normally only mentioned a day or two before the deal happens and usually total two or three.
Second, they know that Arsenal had a brilliant last two-thirds of the season and there’s no reason to think that form will suddenly fall away.
Third , they may know how Arsenal did it through an extraordinary tactical development – after all we have published all the statistics and evidence so it is only through laziness if they don’t. But they don’t mention any of it.
But instead they continue with statements like this from “Team Talk”: “Arsenal are in desperate need of positive news after an underwhelming campaign gave their fans little to cheer about.” They then say Arsenal are chasing a player who is no good. Ah well, some sites just won’t read the stats.
Below is a list of the players the media have mentioned this summer. But pause for a moment and think, why are they doing this when they know what’s really going on..
