The media has so far “reported” 35 players that Arsenal are looking to sign and ten players who will be leaving the club in the summer. In each case you can read more about the alleged transfer via the link in the “Source” column.
Certainly, the journos have been actively looking for more ideas as we have had six new names joining Arsenal in the last few days, and four more leaving. Here are the details…

It should however be remembered that in recent years the largest percentage of players that the media forecast correctly as coming to Arsenal has been just 3% of the total.
Now in most industries, an accuracy level of 3% would be deemed enough to get one the sack from the job, but in football journalism, it is regarded as pretty nifty. Some years the percentage has been just half that level.
We’ll be back with an update in a few days time.
Off topic: I fear for our match on Sunday. Yes, we are different class from Man Utd, but that is not a new situation – we always have been. The combination of current factors leads me to expect a repeat of match 50, with Tierney taking on the Riley role.
I hope that Saka and others mange to escape injury, as it is all too evident that we cannot expect referees to protect our players from assaults,

You only have to read around and you’ll see that Saka doesn’t get kicked to bits at all. Nope, he just dives. And our very own David Seamen agrees.
I find this accusation simply astonishing.
There is absolutely no question that Saka gets kicked off the park, and for seamen to say what he said (if he did, and I accept his comments may be taken out of context or exaggerated, in which case I would expect Seamen to say as much) is a disgrace and actually feeds into the notion that it’s okay to kickhim
Personally, unless Seamen retracts/clarifies what he said I would ban him from the Emirates. I’m done with him.
Sky Sports throw Mike Riley under the bus, 20 years late.
the truth surfaces
Unfortunately, many of the contentious incidents have been ignored, and I haven’t been able to find a decent quality English Language video of the game.
I am not sure that Seaman meant that Saka did not get kicked but that he exaggerates the contact . It could be argued that if he wasn’t spending so much time looking for the foul he might be more effective and get more decisions.
Having said that it is almost de rigueur that Saka will be clouted in the time given before referees reach for their cards usually at the first or second time he touches it.
Riley let United get away with it , and I fear that Salford Tierney will do exactly the same.
seismic
It’s all very well SKY finally pointing out what a farce that match was, but lets not forget this is the same SKY that has given air time to Gary Neville and Co to have a good old laugh about it, and suggest that all that happened on the day was that they ‘bullied’ Arsenal, a mantra that has stuck ever since.
It’s no different today as we see Saka kicked from pillar to post week in week out, but apparently according to many in the media and in chat rooms, including our own fans, he’s ‘looking’ for it.
Being ‘aware’ that another potential leg breaker is coming your way is a lot different to ‘looking to win’ un merited fouls.
If I was Saka I would be well aware of the latitude afforded players challenging me, and as a matter of self preservation I would certainly be ready to take evasive action at any moment
But back to the SKY article.
Trying to suggest that we needed VAR to re referee those incidents to get them right is pathetic.
The 2 major incidents, the RVN sending off and the penalty, were so obvious in real time that it is ridiculous to suggest VAR was needed to see as much. The blame for those errors lies squarely at the feet of the officials.
But the thing about that match that made it so bad was the deliberate cheating by the officials throughout the entire match.
As a for example, Gallagher mentions the one foul on Rayes and dismisses it as just a possible yellow. But that is to completely ignore the fact that Rayes was targeted and fouled endlessly throughout the match, and the referee did nothing about it.
And that isn’t just me saying that. This from Phil Neville:
“Phil Neville: “They [Arsenal] had a young Spanish winger called Juan(sic) Antonio Reyes, and we literally kicked him off the park. Every time he got the ball, Gary smashed him. Next time he got the ball, I smashed him. I remember looking at him and thinking, ‘What am I doing in English football?’
Ashley Cole, who was on the end of the potential RVN leg breaker was booked for his first foul. He can clearly be seen pointing this out to Riley, to no avail.
The article above fails to address any of that.
It was a disgraceful performance. It was deliberate bias. Man Utd know it. Anyone who ever watched a game of football knows it.
And trying to suggest that somehow just a couple of albeit big calls were wrong, is simply an attempt to white wash what was a shameful day in English football refereeing, a day that Gary Neville thinks is funny.
And also just to rub salt in the wounds, soon after this disgraceful performance Riley was rewarded with a promotion to the chief of refereeing.
Tells you all you need to know about how such a performance in favour of United and against Arsenal was received.
As you can tell I still haven’t got over it 🤣
