Referee Taylor does little to inspire confidence, he fails to spot obvious fouls, and gives very bizzare decisions. In my humble opinion he has messed up this game big time, denied Blackburn a valuable win, and handed Norwich 2 points they should not have.
He is though very fit, he is always close to decisions and runs his diagonal well. Scant consolidation to Blackburn and Steve Keane. This was a poor refereeing performance that seemed to disintegrate into farce, check out the last 3 minutes!
Good job. This ref’s “one to note for the future”…
Correction of the conclusion: the ref only handed Norwich 1 point they should not have, not 2. He denied Blackburn two points, though.

This is not meant as criticism at all, but I didn’t realise the ref reviews were even doing matches like this one. I thought the top 6 teams were to be the focus of it. Still, it can only be a good thing to do more.

It sounds like this one was a fiasco worthy of Phil Dowd… Looking at that list of errors above, I was wishing that I had watched the match. And I can’t find video of this crazy handball pen either! (isn’t that always a red flag that something isn’t on?) And crazy difference between the first and second half… from 83% correct calls to 53%? Crazy…
Based on what I see in this review, I have to say that I’m sincerely sorry to Blackburn fans. I do know very much how you feel, although at least, when something like this happens to Arsenal, we have enough of a fanbase and internet presence that we can bitch and whine about it and make our voices heard to some extent…
I remember after the Newcastle/Dowd robbery last season, I was SO DAMN frustrated when the papers seemed to defend Dowd rather than criticize him… But at least in that case, he was still in the papers (eventually). I can only imagine how frustrating it must be when such an injustice is met with total silence.
So, having now expressed my solidarity with Blackburn fans in a place where no Blackburn fan will EVER read it, perhaps I should go look for a Blackburn blog where I can express this indignation. Anyone know of a good one? 🙂

It’s at the very end, you don’t get a clear view of the handball, and you also don’t get a clear view of the alleged foul leading up to it. Based on this video, I can’t form a confident conclusion either way.
Does anyone have something better than this?

Looking into this a bit, it appears that Blackburn (how many times have we heard this story, now?) is facing a takeover battle. Fan protests, etc. Do we have the ABB now, as well as the AAA and the AEE? It seems like it.
