The 36 players now tipped to be joining Arsenal and an unexpected departure

We’ve now got 36 players being tipped to be coming to Arsenal, with enormous sums being suggested, just at a time when Arsenal has had its most expensive transfer window ever, and along with the rest of the Premier League is facing an unprecedented financial challenge.

Some of the stories are lifted from last year’s table and just given a run around once again, but as they are being tipped now for a summer transfer then into the melting pot they will go.

This is of course fake news of the highest order. The stories are untrue, everyone knows they are untrue, but they are propagated over and over again. The normal success rate for this gibberish is 3%, so on that basis one of these might be true.

However given that Arsenal is as deep in the financial mire as anyone else the chances are that none of them will happen this summer.

As for the departures, it is normal for the entire team to be tipped to be leaving, so we’ve given up tracking them for the moment, but Just Arsenal News does have a bit of a surprise in store with the story that, “Arsenal would reportedly consider selling Gabriel Martinelli if they receive a huge offer”

So the claim is that Arsenal have so much of an overhaul to do on the squad they wouldn’t turn down an offer they couldn’t refuse.

Now that could do with a little thinking about, because if it is an offer they can’t refuse then, err, well, it seems to me, they can’t refuse it. Can they?

And where? Well, “Real Madrid has been the team most linked with a move for the youngster as Zinedine Zidane’s side faces an overhaul of their own.”
