The statistics show that Dowd had a good game and I have to agree, he handled the game well allowing it to flow, helped by two teams who appear to have forgotten it was a Merseyside Derby, well for the first half at least. It did though spice up a little in the second half.

Main disappointment was not booking Suarez for persistent simulation; he did at least 3 swan dives although one was a foul by Baines, but not poleaxed the way Suarez suggested with his fall. The other was the failure to caution Carragher for pushing Anichebe into the hoardings in the first half. A clever nudge with his shoulder, the ball was already out of play, Anichebe was hurt and it was unnecessary. I have done many Liverpool reviews this season and when playing, JC is the player who gets away with most.

  1. Suarez think himself swimming nowadays i used to like him but honestly he makes me sick with his diving and provocative style like Cristiano Ronaldo diving @ Man Utd every game he used to fall 3 to 4 times and get a penalty

  2. Suarez has learnt from the feet of the master…..Dalgliesh, the biggest provider of penalties ever.
