One of Webbs better games I thought and with a respectable overall score of just under 80% a high score for this ref.
It wasn’t the most difficult games to ref but still a few bad misses from the ref and as the same errors come back each time I really think he should read the laws of the game and instructions more often.
Wild kicks in to the stomach(chest) should be punished with a yellow card. And frontal and late tackles should be punished with yellow cards. Parker seems to be a player who can get away with a few things from ref Webb. In the first half a frontal tackle which the ref even didn’t called at all should have cost him a yellow card and in the second half he came in late and kicked a defender on his ankle. The ref played and advantage this time that turned in to a really good advantage but again Parker escaped a yellow card but he was spoken to after that incident. Parker should have had 2 yellow cards but didn’t get even one.
But to his credit I must also mention that for the last Tottenham goal he played an excellent advantage. Traore was holding Lennon but he got away and Webb gave the advantage and this lead to a goal. The already mentioned foul from Parker the ref also played an advantage and this lead to a corner for QPR and from that corner they scored. So one could say two goals from given advantages is excellent but the QPR advantage was not that obvious as it took a while and play was halted for a corner, some treatment and then restarted with the corner.
Final conclusion: a typical Webb game as he saw most fouls but he once again backed away from booking players when they went in wild. His world cup final flukes were no coincidence.

Err.. I thought wild kicks to stomach and chest should be punished by ‘Red’ card. Is that not so?
Maybe our ref reviewer still had a soft spot for Traore who made the foul? 😉
Serious now, I have seen the incident also and I must say that it looked more clumsy than anything else. It was not a stud showing kick but more a complete miss when trying to play the ball. And by missing the ball he ended up with his foot in the stomach of the opponent.
The kick from Dejongh in the WC final was studs showing but this was something completely different.
Just gotte say…
Our Young Gunners are Golden.
ManU young players are simply crap.
BTW, gotte love Spurs being on the brink of exiting Europa league.
If PAOK and Rubin settle for a draw spurs are out of the Europa league….
And whatabout Crystal Palace winning at Old Trafford?????
