By Ref Reviewer 04
For the Carling Cup game between Arsenal and Bolton we had ref Taylor as the ref. Not an established PL ref yet, so did he do enough to earn himself a place in the PL?

He did fine with the important decisions. So that is good.
He tried to keep the game flowing. So that is also good.
But I wondered if he would have an easy games as it happened today if (let us say) K. Davies and Robinson would have been on the field. Because waving away little things can lead to players believing they can do what they want and before you know it dangerous tackles are flying around like flies on a fresh cow dung.
His assistants had a difficult night. A few throw ins went to the wrong team and this was costly for the ref his final numbers.
The one thing I didn’t like was the fact that the wrong calls are once again negative for Arsenal.
Extra note: this review is based on the video that is available from this game. As there weren’t as many cameras as usual we had not as much angles we could look at as usual in the Emirates. Sorry if we missed something because of that.
The Christmas gift for the fan with (almost) everything

I have not yet managed to see the whole match, but from what I could gather from Radio 5 there did not seem to be much joy there that our young team won.
But, it is great to see the site back up and running!
Thanks for the report. The one we are all waiting for is the one that says, ‘ARSENAL GET MORE THAN THEIR FAIR SHARE OF THE BALANCE OF THE DECISIONS!’. The ref of that match will become an Arsenal hero–a legend in his own jock strap!! Then it will be followed by the sack. We can’t have Arsenal getting a fair crack of the whip. You don’t know where it will end!!
