87 players tipped to sign, Including seven names that have appeared for the first time this week. But here’s a thought. Supposing all clubs deliberately put out false stories about who they are going to buy, to protect discussions with the real purchases that are actually going on.
This would fit with the last few transfer windows in which the names of several of the players we signed only emerged for the first time just before the signing was announced.
So given that this is still only June, maybe none of these stories are true.
This season the window runs from from June 9 until August 31 – so we have had 12 days and have got 71 days left to go.
If we carry on at this rate the list will be 514 players long by the day the window closes.
That’s quite a lot really.
